Need a MIAM; Fast?

We can help!

When family life feels overwhelming, the last thing you need is a lengthy legal process slowing you things down.

If you have been searching for a MIAM near you, you’ve found a team who genuinely understands the pressure you are under and is ready to support you from day one.

What is a MIAM?

Attending a MIAM (Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting) is legally required, in most instances, before you can apply to court for child arrangements or financial orders.

At Brighter Future Mediation, it is far more than a formality. It is a private, one-to-one conversation with a qualified, FMC accredited mediator who will take time to explain your options, answer your questions, and explore whether mediation can help you avoid the stress and cost of court proceedings.

Speed and support, when you need it most

We know that situations can escalate quickly. Whether your solicitor has advised you to book a MIAM or you are facing an urgent court deadline, we will not keep you waiting.

Same-day appointments are often available. Evening and weekend slots to fit around your life. Fully online sessions, so there is no travel and no waiting rooms.

How much does a MIAM cost?

Just £99 per person (evening and weekends £135). We keep our fees fair and transparent.

If mediation is not the right path for you, we will provide your signed court form (C100 or Form A) promptly, so you can move forward without delay.

We can also support you through the court process, from helping you complete your full application to connecting you with affordable legal advice and representation. Whatever stage you are at, we are here to help

A warm and professional visual representing family mediation in the UK, focusing on child wellbeing and cooperative parenting.

Additional support

We are registered with the Ministry of Justice mediation voucher scheme, which means eligible families can access up to £500 towards the cost of child arrangements mediation. Our fees are already 34% lower than the national average for mediation providers, and our sessions run for 90 minutes rather than the standard 60 minutes. That additional time means fewer sessions overall, faster progress, and less money spent getting to a resolution.

Most families reach agreement in 1 to 4 sessions, depending on the complexity of their situation. With a conversion rate of nearly double the industry average, we are here to make this process as straightforward as possible for you.

Do not let the uncertainty drag on. Book your MIAM today and take the first step towards a brighter future.

What our clients say

Why choose mediation?

  • Confidential & cost-effective

The average cost of divorce or separation in the UK is £14,561 plus VAT. Mediation costs a fraction of that. You pay for one mediator rather than two solicitors, with no escalating legal fees. Our fees are 34% lower than the national average, and everything discussed remains private and confidential.

  • Faster resolution

In 2024, children's law cases were taking an average of 43 weeks to conclude in family courts. Mediation is typically resolved in one to four sessions depending on the complexity of your situation, with most families reaching agreements within two to three months.

  • Longer sessions, better outcomes

Our sessions run for 90 minutes, which is 50% longer than the industry standard. This means more ground covered in each session, fewer appointments needed overall, and a quicker path to agreement, saving you both time and money.

  • Convenient and accessible

We offer fully online mediation across England and Wales, allowing you to attend from home at a time that works for you. No commuting, no time off work, no sitting in waiting rooms.

  • Reduces the emotional impact of conflict

Conflict takes a toll on everyone involved, particularly children. Mediation provides a calm, structured environment where both parties can be heard and work towards practical, workable solutions together.

  • You stay in control

Unlike court proceedings, where a judge makes the final decision, mediation puts you in the driving seat. You decide what works best for your family, at your own pace, without anyone imposing an outcome on you.

  • Flexible and creative solutions

Mediation can explore arrangements that courts often cannot. Agreements reached in mediation can also be made legally binding through a consent order, giving you security as well as flexibility.

  • Support as your circumstances change

Family life evolves. Mediation offers a cost-effective way to revisit and adjust arrangements as your children grow, whether that involves schooling, living arrangements, or other important decisions.

  • Expert mediators

Our mediators are FMC-registered professionals who are genuinely invested in helping you reach a resolution. We are registered with the Ministry of Justice voucher scheme and work alongside a legal team who can provide affordable advice when you need it.
